Begovo Razdolje is located in Gorski Kotar, in Mrkopalj, Mrkopalj is mountainous municipality on the western slopes of the Velike Kapele (Great Chapels) in Gorski Kotar, by highway Zagreb-Rijeka.
Begovo Razdolje is located on the western slopes of Bjelolasica and it is the only inhabited place in Croatia at an altitude above a thousand feet (1078 m).
According to the list of population from 2001. Begovo Razdolje has 48 residents, who are increasingly turning to tourism and agriculture with an emphasis on animal husbandry.
In Begovo Razdolje is the biggest cattle farm in the county Primorsko - Goranska in which it is possible tourist visit with the understanding of all processes.
Good road links, excellent infrastructure (electricity, water, telephone), and the vicinity of Rijeka and Zagreb, especially after the completion of the highway, and the fact that it is the highest resort in Croatia with the most snowfall and fully preserved natural environment, makes a great starting base for the design of modern tourism. In addition to geographical advantages in the Begovo Razdolje is preserved the architectural heritage in its original form and other sociology-cultural features, such as indigenous dialects and traditional handicrafts.
Combination of all these factors gives Begovo Razdolje magical attraction and represents it as a significant tourism potential in the Croatian context.
In Begovo Razdolje are developed mountain and farm tourism, and you can enjoy an active holiday: cycling, hiking and mountain climbing, hunting, skiing and cross country skiing, camping, orientation running and mushroom picking.
There is a possible tourist accommodation and meals in: a hotel, boarding and private accommodation at host or in private holiday houses and apartments and rooms.
